Be cautious when working out
Hot steam when showering or sauna can open the pores and push ink out. Excessive water can dilute the ink causing poor retention leading to bad results.
It's normal for a fresh tattoo to ooze lymph fluid, plasma, and a bit of ink in the first 24–48 hours. This is part of the healing process and helps to form a protective scab. The area will be also be tender with minimal redness and swelling. During this time the ink will gradually oxidize over time. Due to swelling and darkness the tattoo can appear thicker, this will subside within 48 hours.
Keep the tattoo moisturized though out the day with non-scened lotion.
Products such as aquaphor can suffocate the skin if over applied.
Cetaphil Gentle Wash, Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion, Aquaphor Healing Ointment, Gauze Pads, and Plastic Visor is provided for the best results possible.
